RESTAURANT DELIVERY DRIVER

Job Summary:

Checks all products for accuracy against quality standards and delivers quality product to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner while working as part of a team. Supports the restaurant by performing other pizza production and order taking duties as necessary. Complies with Papa John’s uniform, appearance, and operations standards as defined in the Team Member Handbook.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs duties including pre-delivery vehicle preparation, learning the delivery area, checking orders for quality and accuracy, following proper delivery procedures, providing quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers in person or by phone, and acting with a sense of urgency in everything they do.
• Work as part of a team and assist other team members by being on time for their shift, supporting other workstations during their shift by performing other duties including making quality products, preparing ingredients, and taking orders and completing any opening, shift change and closing duties.
• Enhance the company’s image by complying with uniform and appearance standards and contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork, energy, and fun.
• Accurately process order paperwork and payment transactions, and execute cash management duties. Support sales efforts by suggestively selling to increase the check average when taking an order and distributing door hangers during every shift.
• Protect the company’s assets by maintaining organized, safe, and clean work areas; comply with safety and security standards at all times. 

Besides your enthusiasm and a great work ethic, here is what you need for this job:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A valid state driver’s license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, proof of auto insurance and a reliable vehicle
• A keen sense of direction with the ability to read a map and find your way around your delivery area
• At least 18 years of age
• Bilingual is a plus but not required
• A positive, friendly attitude and exceptional customer service skills
• Basic math and cash management skills
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Willingness to assist in training other delivery drivers

Salary range:

Base hourly pay + $1/order + tips = range of $10-$18/hour
