Scope of Position
The Quality Department is tasked with the responsibility to ensure that our products meet the required quality standards before they are sold to consumers. They are also tasked with maintaining quality specifications and related documents in accordance with current ISO standards. The Quality department is an integral part of new process development, new equipment installation, equipment repair, and process optimization.

Position Summary
Quality technicians are responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. Quality technicians are involved in the entire course of manufacturing. They may inspect components before assembly, analyze trial products during development, or test finished goods. They record and analyze the results in order to decide whether to certify or reject specific products. Technicians will be required to use data to solve production issues and recommend improvements. Other duties may include preparing inspection plans, training new technicians, and evaluating quality cost. This position will work closely with Plant Management as well as other functional departments within the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

1 Incorporates and maintains safety observances, including but not limited to, use of all PPE, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits.
2 Participates in meetings and plays an active role in promoting safety standards.
3 Provides support for implementation of world-class quality processes at a manufacturing facility.
4 Pre-test and prepare equipment for regulatory testing. Completes all log sheets and official regulatory test forms.
5 Ensures calibration and controlled access for all measurement and test equipment.
6 Maintains database/documents for all related to testing of product.
7 Advises and consults with management of any non-conforming product.
8 Provides expertise and assists in developing and optimizing quality standards based on customer specifications.
9 Identifies best quality practices/procedures, documents the procedures to standardize, and rolls the procedures out to the plant for implementation.
10 Develops and presents quality training documentation to operations personnel.
11 Supports and contributes to plant-wide continuous improvement efforts.
12 May provide mentoring or guidance to operations personnel.
13 Performs related and/or additional duties as required.

Requirements

Job Requirements At Time of Hire: AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 5 years of related experience. Will consider HS and 5-8 years of experience in lieu of formal education. Factory experience (Operations, Manufacturing or Production) or lab experience (testing, certifications, auditing or inspections) preferred and may be accepted in lieu of a degree or certifications. Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Proficiency required in navigating ERP systems as well as 3rd party software to support Quality objectives. #LI-AT1
