PAYROLL COORDINATOR/AP
** Overtime paid for over 8-hrs worked on a daily basis **
Starting Wages: $15.50-16.75 DOE
Based at our Chaska, MN location, you will perform all payroll functions according to standards set by supervision. Assists in the administration of employee benefits programs. Maintains employment records/employee personnel files.
DETAILED ACCOUNTABILITIES:
While there are a variety of duties associated with this position, she/he would normally be performing only one job duty at a time. He/she interacts in a professional courteous manner with all plant personnel.
- Collects, verifies and maintains time sheets and transmittal data for Legendary Baking personnel and contract labor.
- Maintains SAP & JDE HRIS system.
- Enters time off requests, maintains attendance tracking system (i.e., SAP and attendance notices to Legendary Baking employees and managers)
- Edits all payroll information, verifying accuracy of all payroll records/printouts for Legendary Baking personnel and contract labor.
- Assists in check preparation and distribution procedures as directed by supervisor.
- Maintains/updates Legendary Baking employee and contract labor time cards and data base.
- Assist in Accounts Payable for the company
- Assists in the administration of the employee benefit program.
- Assists employees in problem resolution.
- Maintains employment records/employee personnel files.
- Assists with answering phones.
- Assists with answering doors and maintaining security of office area.
- Ensures high degree of confidentiality.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area(s).
- Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures, (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, etc.)
- Responsible for monitoring and following all food safety and quality procedures.
- Responsible to follow security protocol and report any suspicious activity and/or security violations.
- Performs other duties and special projects as directed by supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ( PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ):
The Payroll/HR Assistant would normally be performing one job duty at a time that could require the following:
- Speech and hearing abilities sufficient to communicate clearly and distinctly in English (in person and via telephone) and/or other language if required.
- Standing, walking, stooping/bending.
- Reach at times above shoulder/ below knee level
- Physically capable of rapid, unimpeded movement to all areas of the plant.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
- Must be able to work with little supervision
- Ability to generate written communication and operate required office equipment/computer system.
- Ability to read and review written communication.
- Ability to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.
- Ability to retrieve and replace work related materials (files, documents, etc) from storage areas.
- 6- months or more related experience.
- Knowledge and experience in Payroll Processing.
