About this job

Job Summary:  The Cook is responsible for functioning in any and all cooking capacities in the kitchen while preparing a high quality food product in a timely fashion.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Unlocks/locks coolers, freezers and doors as needed.
  • Turns on/off equipment as needed.
  • Reviews prep lists, prioritizes work and assigns work as needed.
  • Puts into storage stock that is delivered.
  • Prepares production lists for the next day or two as needed.
  • Functions as a Broiler Cook, Fry Cook, Pantry Cook, Pizza Cook,and Banquet Cook as needed.
  • Functions as dishwasher as needed.
  • Spot orders out-of-stock items.
  • Performs all functions in a safe fashion.
  • Assures the sanitation of the kitchen and food preparation.
  • Maintains a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Conducts kitchen cleaning activities as needed.
  • Follows HOLIDAY INN Job Safety Policies at all times to avoid injury.
  • Communicates issues, concerns, complaints, compliments, and suggestions to the management of the organization and not to other associates, guests, etc.
  • Supports the Holiday Inn Mission Statement, Vision Statement, philosophy, policies and procedures.
  • Does whatever it takes to create OUTRAGEOUS GUEST SERVICE.

 

Requirements

Must have at least a 9th grade education.

Must have at least 6 months of prior experience.
