General Summary: In addition to performing regular housekeeping duties will perform general maintenance and repair duties as needed for the purposes of ongoing building care, upkeep, repair, and refurbishment. This position is much like an on-site handyman (not required to take the lead on repairs requiring a licensed professional). This position will coordinate the scheduling of such technical repairs with Wellbridge-approved vendors, as needed and with the advance approval of the Facility Manager or General Manager.
Qualifications: Minimum of six month previous experience as a general maintenance/handyman experience is also required. Must be detailed oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing daily priorities without constant direction. Previous exposure to plant facility maintenance is helpful, particularly in the following areas: HVAC systems, general contracting, electrical, painting, and plumbing.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment: While performing the job, regular standing, walking, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, bending, climbing and lifting is required. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing less than 50 pounds, long and short distances. May be exposed to one or more of the following: outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, and possible risk of electrical shock.
