Position Synopsis: Provides supervision for In-home Aides, creates and updates the client’s plan of care, and insures the provision of quality services that meet applicable state/federal regulations.
 
Primary Duties:
 
  1.  Assist with providing general supervision of In-home Aides ensuring quality service is provided to clients through quarterly supervisory visits.
  2. Conduct needs assessments for clients to ensure the needs of the client can be met by the agency’s resources.
  3. Create and regularly update the plan of care for clients according to Home Instead Senior Care of Statesville policies and applicable licensing regulations.
  4. Ensure that In-home Aides have the competencies required for the clients to whom they are assigned.
  5. Supervise the use of Standard Precautions by all staff.
  6. Provide supervision of In-home Aides according to state regulations and Home Instead Senior Care Polices and Procedures.
  7. Ensure the timely and accurate production of all required paperwork for the client’s plan of care, Medicaid, Home Instead Senior Care policies and procedures, and state/federal licensing and/or regulations.
  8. Promote the longevity of In-home Aides through supportive supervision.
  9. Report allegations of abuse by the In-home Aides or any other person to the CEO, the appropriate licensing board, the Division of Facility Services and any other appropriate state agency.
  10. Any other duties assigned by the RN –Clinical Supervisor.
  11. RN’s are to call the clients two days before scheduled visit.
  12. Perform initial introduction of the In-home aide to clients that require personal care task.
            
Qualifications:
 
  1. Must be a currently licensed RN in good standing with the NC Board of Nursing.  Preference given for a BSN.
  2. Ability to provide supportive supervision by phone or email to In-home aides and clients.
  3. Previous geriatric, management, and training experience are preferred.
  4. Ability to provide quality training to staff and to provide an accurate assessment of the competencies of In-home Aides.
  5. Excellent problem solving skills and ability to learn new tasks quickly and to handle a fast paced challenging environment.
  6. Excellent business and personal references.
  7. Experience with handling client concerns and a strong desire to provide the highest quality service.
  8. Meet or exceed minimum qualifications for each of the following background checks: Criminal history, motor vehicle driving record, credit history, and drug testing. 
  9. Must be bondable.
  10. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  11. Must hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record. 
  12. Professional integrity with no history of abuse toward a person.
