Sodexo is seeking a Sous Chef to work in a large hospital system in Houston, Texas. This position will be located at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center, a 900+ bed health-care account that utilizes the "At Your Request" (AYR) room service dining program for feeding patients. The Sous Chef will be responsible for leading production in the absence of the Executive Chef for the patients. The Sous Chef will also be responsible for purchasing, and weekly food inventory. The daily roles will range from supervising food production, training and monitoring service to working hands on with the employees. The ideal candidate will have:
* Excellent customer skills
* High-volume, quality-focused culinary management experience, preferably within a healthcare setting.
* Exemplary communication skills with the ability to lead a large team.
* Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented and task focused.
* A very hands-on cooking and training approach.
* Experience in successfully controlling food and labor costs.
* Strong computer skills.
Strong HACCP training skills.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
