An aerospace company in Philadelphia, PA is looking to hire a Helicopter Composites and Technician for a full time contract opportunity.

  • 6 month contract
  • Hourly Rate: $26.00-$30.00 based on experience
  • Per Diem Split
  • Benefits package offered
  • Must be open to working any shift.
  • Must have own tools

Position overview

  • Working under the direct supervision of the Part 21 Lead, this position is responsible for interior fitting of rotor-wing aircraft. Work for this position is done under FAA FAR Part 21 and/or FAA Part 145.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Position requires installation of helicopter interiors to include: Modification, assembly and installation of side and window panels, headliners and service hardware
  • Trim interior panels to specific aircraft
  • Cut, fit and install carpeting
  • Install cabin and cockpit seats
  • Install various types of hardware as required for interior installation
  • Present a professional appearance and demeanor to our vendors, coworkers and customers.

Qualifications, Education Requirements, SKILL SETS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. 2 years experience with aircraft interior installation, rotary wing interior installation a plus
  3. Must be able to read and work from blue prints, drawings, sketches and verbal instructions
  4. Must be able to use all standard tools that are required for interior installations and liner modifications
  5. Must be able to work in personal protection equipment; i.e., respirator, safety glasses and ear protection
  6. Must be able to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment (long days, nights and weekends on short notice)
  7. Ability to work effectively with other team members
  8. Valid drivers license
  9. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
  10. Ability to operate a fork lift

  • Aviation industry experience a plus
  • Non-climate controlled work environment
