Tool and Die Maker - Full-time / Part-time

Job Qulaifications

1.) Work with progressive dies
2.) Ability to troubleshoot the die machines
3) Have to be able to set up the machines
4) Have to read blueprints
- Journeyman's card is preferred and a huge plus. If the person has their journeyman's card and no experience in tool and die, manager still wants to consider the candidate.
- If no journeyman's card, then must have at least 5-7 years of unofficial experience.
- Metal stamping experience is preferred, but is not opposed to a tool and die maker coming from the plastics industry.
- Experience on milling machines, lathes, and grinders.
- Micrometers, calipers, and ability to read prints.
- GED or HS diploma

The machines are pretty complex; there are single hit dies and there are various stations.

Will prep the dies for job runs, grinding, and sharpening. Prep jobs to be ready to go into the press, lockout tagout procedures.

Will have to be out on the floor as well; if there is a problem with a part, someone will call the die shop to come out to the floor and troubleshoot the problem. Has to be able to determine if the punch isn't sharp enough, assess and understand the functionality, identify a broken punch, determine if punch is lined up correctly, etc.

3rd shift available. 10:00pm-6:00am with mandatory overtime.

Will work 6 days a week 2 or 3 times a month, and 7 days a week at least once a month.
