POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our Supply Chain Distribution Centers. This includes:

  • Planning and forecasting for all lines of the P&L.
  • Developing models to apply consistent methodology across all buildings.
  • Performing NPV, IRR and ROI calculations for cost out opportunities within the Supply Chain.
  • Analyzing business specific opportunities for expense reduction and flow growth.
  • Working cross functionally across both the Supply Chain and Retail Finance to drive consistency and shape business decisions.
  • Managing the day to day spend of the Distribution Centers through providing real time spend analysis and variance to plan information.
The role will directly support the regional Director of Operations and the site level General Managers as well as all salaried DC associates. This position will require travel up to eight times annually across the United States. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide training to Distribution personnel on all aspects of Finance including planning, forecasting, P&L management and financial concepts. This position will directly interface with the following departments: Supply Chain, Supply Chain Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Merchandising Finance, Stores Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, Internal Audit and Compliance, Advisory Management, Legal. The ideal candidate will have Experience with Financial Analysis including NPV, ROI, IRR, discounted cash flows and correlation analyses R-Squared). High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA/Macros. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint. Having systems knowledge in any of the following applications: SAP, Khalix/Longview, Tableau, SQL, Teradata would be preferred.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee the administration of financial policies.
  • Conducts special financial studies and coordinates with other departments in the preparation of statistical studies.
  • Performs internal and external economic research and analyzes issues related to specific financial metrics to ensure competitiveness
  • Compiles or prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed.
  • Recommends changes in financial analysis methods or procedures.
  • Assists and supervises Financial Analysts in the daily preparation and conduct of their work.

  • This position typically reports to a Manager of Finance.
  • This position may supervise one or more Financial Analysts.
  • Typically requires highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.
  • Typically faces situations that are unstructured and require original approaches.
  • Typically considers new approaches within general policies and short-term goals when solving problems.
  • Typically, once given general assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area.
  • Under constant pressure to continuously meet tight deadlines, demanding quotas and/or must regularly deal with difficult situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 3

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor' s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is preferred
  • Two years of experience in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • Experience with Financial Analysis including NPV, ROI, IRR, discounted cash flows and correlation analyses R-Squared)
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA/Macros preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Preferred systems knowledge in any of the following applications: SAP, Khalix/Longview, Tableau, SQL, Teradata
