About this job

Currently seeking a Coordinator/Supervisor to work in the Electro Coating Division at an automotive manufacturing company in Elizabethtown, KY.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficient and safe management of ecoat and waste water operations to maximize safety, production quality and output
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of the Metalsa Operating System (MOS) for coating operations
  • Promote continuous improvement activities by daily analysis of quality, production, and downtime data
  • Train and support technicians on assigned shift for maximum safety, quality and productivity
  • Responsible for production quality for assigned shift
  • Ensures operator training and adherence to the quality control plans for coating processes
  • Proactive approach to maintenance and process issues that affect quality and productivity
  • Coordinate paint and waste water treatment processes
  • Responsible for managing all coating and waste water activities on assigned shift
  • Responsible for cost control for labor and materials on assigned shift
  • Track and control electrocoat and waste treatment chemical inventory
  • Insure coordination with and assistance to maintenance personnel in assigned area
  • Responsible for E-Coat technicians performance evaluations and interviews
  • Assist in the procurement of equipment, repair parts and supplies
  • Help develop and conduct training activities
  • Help coordinate preventive, predictive ecoat process maintenance activities

Preferred Experience

  • Associate Degree in related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years proven industrial painting (electrocoat, powdercoat, wax)
  • Minimum of (2) year proven supervisory experience desired
  • Experience with Local, State and Federal chemical handling regulations, procedures and reporting requirements
  • Computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing and graphics
  • Experience with ISO/TS16949 quality systems preferred

Additional:

  • Must be able to work at heights with appropriate safety equipment & training
  • Available to work overtime as needed to clean & maintain process equipment
