Summary of Duties
In collaboration with department directors, the Cancer Center Clinical Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the clinical areas of the Cancer Center which includes delivery of radiation oncology, medical oncology, infusion therapy and surgical oncology. Responsible for ensuring services are delivered in accordance with applicable state and federal guidelines, regulations and standards. Directed by department director, assures the quality of patient care for oncology patients. Responsible and accountable for Cancer Center systems functions, staff performance, and patient care outcomes. Assists department director in accomplishing unit and organizational goals.Â

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: BSN, MSN preferred.
Certifications: Current California nursing license, Oncology Certified Nurse Preferred, Chemotherapy and bio-therapy certification preferred, current BLS and ACLS
Knowledge & Skills:
·        Minimum of two years working experience in oncology.
·        Prior proven experience and expertise in oncology and/or out-patient clinics (minimum 2 years clinical work) and/or prior proven experience and expertise in management, or supervisory work
·        Demonstrates advanced level problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
·        Emotional stability to deal with crises, continuous interruptions, high prolonged stress of management staff, patient care and physical environment, counseling/coaching staff, providing disciplinary action, positively interacting with medical staff and support services during times of stress and constant change
·        Excellent verbal and written skills for high level communication within the hospital and at interdisciplinary and administrative meetings and meeting high demands for developing written proposals, preparing budgets, writing evaluations and developing standards and Performance Improvement (PI) reports
·        Strong organization and self-discipline with attention to detail and accuracy
