Job Summary

Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual reporting and analyses. Acts as a liaison between Expenses Payable (EP) and 3rd party suppliers, internal IT production support and project departments, and business users.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual reporting of payables related data, including department key statistics, consolidated and user specific invoice performance reporting, and productivity.
  • Acts as a liaison between EP and 3rd party suppliers who provide services related to invoices and expenses (i.e. imaging, auditing, livery services, and banks). Acts as the administrator for bank related services. Independently conducts meetings and maintains open relationships with these suppliers as required
  • Acts as the main point person and administrator of the TJX Corporate Credit Card Program, including processing applications, monitoring of guaranteed accounts, bill payment, and communication with the business and senior management. Provides reporting and analyses of such activities
  • Coordinates all systems testing for the department, including initiating and monitoring open issues. Acts as a liaison between EP and the IT departments. In partnership with management, determines the scope of testing required for each item, then creates the proper audit documentation for that particular test. Ensures all tests are completed in a timely manner and approved by management.
  • Acts as a point person for EP related systems processes (i.e. More4Apps). Works with business users and provides training as needed.
  • Coordinates the identification, recovery, and reporting of possible and actual duplicate invoices. Provides information and education to user groups to minimize risks and costs associated with duplicate invoices.
  • Responsible for the retention of all department documents (hard and soft copies) in accordance with the Corporate Retention Schedule. Maintains department policies and procedures documentation. Participates in audits related to the department.
  • Assists with account reconciliations and performs adhoc reporting and analyses.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving and Research skills (i.e. ability to methodically review various discrepancies, exceptions, and/or trend and present findings with recommended action steps).
  • Excellent Organizational and Follow Through skills (i.e. ability to effectively handle tasks of varying priority and due dates).
  • Strong Communication skills (i.e. ability to interact with various levels of management as well as external contacts; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to recap and present research and analyses findings to management and business users).
  • Very Good PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, Access).
