SCHEDULE: Friday through Sunday 6:45AM to 7:15PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Although all General Warehouse associates are assigned to a specific department and supervisor, they are all eligible to work in any area of the warehouse if needed.

Because of this, it is important that everyone applying for a job at the Marshalls Distribution Center understand that they must be able to perform the functions listed below.

The employment requirements are:

  • Manual material handling of objects such as totes, boxes, garments or other items up to 10 lbs constantly, up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 60 lbs occasionally. Objects may be handled between heights as low as the floor and as high as the thigh, waist and shoulder constantly and above the head (96 inches) occasionally. Objects are handled to and from trucks, pallets, nestainers, trolleys, conveyers, boxes and totes.

  • Manual transportation of pallet jacks and trolleys requiring 30 lbs of force on an occasional to frequent basis. Manual transportation of nestainers and conveyors requiring up to 100 lbs of force on an occasional basis.

  • Count, select and sort objects such as totes, boxes, garments or other items by style, color, store order or other criteria.

  • Match receipts against purchase orders.

  • Ticket garments or other items with gum labels, swiftach gun or pin tickets.

  • Pack or unpack garments or other items into or out of boxes. Seal boxes for shipping when packing completed.

  • Hang, remove or sort garments on hangers by style, store order or other criteria.

  • Stand or walk on a concrete floor for 10 to 12 hours (with the exception of breaks and lunches).

  • Climb stairs or use a step stool to retrieve and/or place cartons.
