The Vice President of Automotive Sales will be responsible for developing and implementing Spectrum Reach’s Sales auto strategy while serving as the resident “automotive expert” providing expertise and knowledge about the automotive industry, develop and implement training programs and leading the Auto Sales team in growing our share of automotive revenues. This individual will collaborate with Sales Leadership on annual sales budgets, goals and targets in the automotive category. This person will also support National Sales efforts, lead sales meetings and collaborate on the strategy, planning and execution of training of all Auto tools and product offerings.

Responsibilities:
  • In partnership with Sales Management, develops automotive industry sales strategies and objectives to increase cable share of dealer ad spending in the market, and growing the automotive category.
  • Develop strategy and lead its execution on revenue growth from multi-market and top dealer groups.
  • Oversee the regional auto leads and partner with Field Sales Leadership to ensure that the sales organization is utilizing the entire suite of automotive capabilities.
  • Work in collaborative partnership National Sales and the NCC Media automotive team on Multi-market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Reach teams to identify current & future automotive market conditions as predictors of performance and activity needs.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and category revenue reporting monthly to Executive Team and Field Sales Leaders.
  • Lead the development and partner with Marketing on launch strategy of additional products and partnerships.
  • Provide insight and support of all automotive training efforts.
  • Take the lead in the organization of Spectrum Reach’s participation in automotive industry events and conferences.
  • Lead Spectrum Reach’s company-wide automotive committees.

Qualifications:
  • 15+ years in related automotive media management and/or automotive advertising sales experience, with a proven successful track record
  • 10+ years of Sales leadership experience
  • Demonstrated sales planning and sales training ability to effectively develop and implement sales strategies and objectives and to motivate and enhance effective sales techniques of sales personnel
  • A strong track record of developing and leading high performing teams that consistently meet and exceed their short and long term goals and objectives
  • Strong influencer with experience working with a geographically distributed sales team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced degree, such as a MBA, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
