Performing a variety of analytical accounting duties that include:

  • Reconciles bank and vendor accounts, posts to and balances general ledger, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings.
  • Area of responsibility may include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management or capital accounting. 1-3 years experience
  • The Accounting Specialist II, Customer Service contributes to success by performing exemplary customer service skills, communication, and problem solving activities and a variety of analytical accounting duties.
  • Reconciles vendor accounts, works collaboratively and cross functionally across the procure to pay track to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and payment to suppliers.
  • Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Answers and resolves all internal and external customer queries relating to invoice, payment, and reconciliation of holds or exceptions.
  • Maintains master files and initiates various processes.
  • Verifies invoice information to company and government requirements.
  • May prepares invoices for payment including matching invoices to receipts and purchase orders, and ensuring proper authorization for payment.
  • Provides analysis on all exceptions and proactively communicates and resolves exceptions
  • Run/Monitor error and exception reports
  • Resolves accounting questions and issues. Researches and responds to internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Verifies accuracy, completeness and consistency of accounting information received and AP accounting reported.
  • Includes records creation, managing disbursements data, audit responses, expenses and other payments.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

  • Multi-national, multi-currency experience and knowledge 1 year
  • Be familiar or excited about large scale AP
