Performing a variety of analytical accounting duties that include:
- Reconciles bank and vendor accounts, posts to and balances general ledger, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings.
- Area of responsibility may include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management or capital accounting. 1-3 years experience
- The Accounting Specialist II, Customer Service contributes to success by performing exemplary customer service skills, communication, and problem solving activities and a variety of analytical accounting duties.
- Reconciles vendor accounts, works collaboratively and cross functionally across the procure to pay track to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and payment to suppliers.
- Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Answers and resolves all internal and external customer queries relating to invoice, payment, and reconciliation of holds or exceptions.
- Maintains master files and initiates various processes.
- Verifies invoice information to company and government requirements.
- May prepares invoices for payment including matching invoices to receipts and purchase orders, and ensuring proper authorization for payment.
- Provides analysis on all exceptions and proactively communicates and resolves exceptions
- Run/Monitor error and exception reports
- Resolves accounting questions and issues. Researches and responds to internal and external customer inquiries.
- Verifies accuracy, completeness and consistency of accounting information received and AP accounting reported.
- Includes records creation, managing disbursements data, audit responses, expenses and other payments.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

- Multi-national, multi-currency experience and knowledge 1 year
- Be familiar or excited about large scale AP
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to use online accounting systems
- Large ERP system experience. Oracle R12 must have
