The Nurse Educator of Emergency Department and Critical Care will be part of a community hospital that provides services to the dynamic community of Monterey Bay and its surrounding neighborhoods. Under the administrative direction of the Director of Education and Chief Nursing Officer, the ED and ICU Nurse Educator will effectively plan, manage and conduct continuing professional and education/training programs. The Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit Nurse Educator will create innovative, cost effective educational interventions which cross multiple health care system boundaries.

The ER and ICU Nurse Education Specialist will facilitate positive professional interaction between health care groups, all departments, management team and affiliates. The Nurse Educator of ICU and ED will have high degree of initiative, planning, energy and judgment is required. The ED and Critical Care Educator will need to have skills in communication (one-to-one and group) with strong speaking/presentation and listening skills.
