About this job

A wonderful new nursing opportunity is now available for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit ICU of a small community hospital located in pristine Northern California.

The Intensive Care Nurse will join an acute care hospital organization that has become a staple in the lives of this rural and in-need community, which accommodates and cares for a population of roughly 50,000 patients annually. This facility has been serving the surrounding region for more than 50 years and gives back through an impressive community outreach and wellness program that include fairs, educational tours, and visits to local schools.

The Staff Nurse Critical Care Services will play an essential role in ensuring the highest level of health for this dynamic population through the direct care of patients. They will work with a team of 10 to 20 fellow nurses in the ICU to deliver high-quality and compassionate care to those suffering from critical injuries or illnesses. They will experience a patient volume of roughly 30 cases per month that include a large number of cardiac cases, as well as those involving ventilation. The ICU Nurse will additionally see critically ill children.

While working with this established community hospital, the CCU Nurse will enjoy living in a quaint Northern California town that features a mild and dry climate throughout the year, a tightknit atmosphere brought together by the many annual events showcasing their history and values, and easy access to great hiking provided by the multiple mountain ranges that are present nearby.
