A fantastic opportunity for a Nurse Director of Case Management is now available at a well-regarded, award-winning teaching hospital in the great New York metropolitan area.

This non-profit hospital is thriving, with stable financial history, achieving national recognition for quality and clinical excellence and expanding their services. They are an Accredited Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center and have a Level II NICU. They are known for the Cardiac and Oncology Programs, offering residents clinical excellence in their own community.

The Nurse Director of Case Management will have complete oversight of the hospital’s Case Management Program and be responsible for overall operations of the department, including ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and private agencies as it relates to Case Management, while being responsible for the planning and directing of all administrative and financial activities of Case Management, Utilization Review, and Discharge Planning

The Utilization Review Director will have responsibility for budget development and oversight, staff recruitment, retention and supervision, identifying and implementing cost-savings or cost-effective measures for the department, providing education and training for staff within the department and acting as a liaison and representative to multiple departments and units.

The Director of Case Management and Utilization Management should have a strong clinical background, and additional experience discharge planning or case management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience with a proven successful history in case management.

This position reports to the Chief Quality Officer and will be a key member of the leadership team. This position is one that will require a creative thinking, leadership skills and an ability to work independently.

There are also many museums, attractions and cultural events in this area, offering so much locally to do. This area is also very commutable from New York City, with public transportation to the hospital an easy and convenient option.
