The Perioperative Nursing Team Leader will become an integral member of the tight-knit nursing staff in the Post Surgery and Step Down Unit. The PACU RN Team Leader will assist the Post Surgery Nursing Director in their daily activities, to ensure optimal functioning throughout the 36-bed Recovery Room. The PACU Nursing Supervisor will work closely with a fellow Post Surgery Team Leader to supervise the 50-member PACU Nursing team, and will collaboration regularly with the entirety of Surgical Services staff.

The Step Down and Transitional Care Nurse Team Lead will be exposed to a variety of cases, with many patients coming from Orthopedic and Spinal Surgeries. The PACU and Recovery Room RN will demonstrate their knowledge and clinical expertise, and will serve as a mentor and educational resource for the Post Operative and Progressive Care Staff Nurses.
