A well established Surgical Center in Southern California is looking for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Manager.

The Ambulatory Center specializes in Orthopedics, Podiatry, GI, Pain Management, ENT and Plastic Surgery. The PACU Nurse Manager will be responsible for all areas in the care for adult and pediatric surgical patients both Pre-op and Post-Op. The Ambulatory Surgery RN Manager will provide necessary teaching, discharge instructions, medication management and all aspects of the post op patient.

Under the direction of the Center Director, the Nurse Manager will be supported by a group of tenured clinical staff. The PACU Manager has accountability with a focus on improving and sustaining positive patient outcomes, the patient experience and facilitating patient throughput.

The PACU Manager will ensure staff engagement and efficient operations of the Surgical Center. The RN Manager will be a change agent who understands and have demonstrated competence in clinical, ethical and legal aspects surrounding the provision of patient care.

The Ambulatory Care PACU Manager will collaborate with nursing and other organizational leaders on initiatives to achieve and sustain HCHAPS and Press Ganey results that reflect the patient experience. The Surgical Care RN Manager will have the opportunity to administer conscious sedation, prepare patients prior to surgery including, pre-op assessment, medication, admission, paperwork, start iv’s, and all aspects of care pre-operatively as needed.

The Ambulatory PACU Manager will be joining a part of Surgical Management group with over 200 Perioperative Centers nationwide. The would be a great opportunity to be part of a winning organization with room to grow.
