As a Sr. Healthcare BI Analyst/Developer, you will ultimately make health plans more efficient, identify gaps in member care, and help make the health system better for everyone. You will maintain and develop risk and quality reporting and analytics for internal and external clients. One program that you will support is Optum’s Risk and Quality Spotlight, a healthcare analytics platform where our customers assess quality of care and population health. With your reporting, you will bring disparate data to life, will provide insights and find gaps in care and data to make lives better for our members. Create risk and quality reporting for external clients using Tableau, SQL, and Alteryx
Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data
Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
Review the analysis and interpretation of others’ work and coordinate with your own work
Develop ad-hoc client and operational reports; productionalize these reports where needed
Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities through analysis
Develop and implement effective / strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
5 years of experience in business or finance analysis
2 years of experience gathering and documenting requirements from the client / business
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office
Intermediate understanding of Business Intelligence software tools (Tableau, Minitab, SSRS, Micro Strategy, or SQL)
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree
Consulting experience
Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business
Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting data
