The Standard, Missouri State University's campus newspaper, needs to add a part-time graphic designer to our staff.

Here's what you'll be doing: Design and modify ads for advertising clients, including print, online and posters. Design covers for special sections. Work with Ad Manager to develop house ads and sales materials for The Standard. Check delivered ads as needed. Build newspaper pages, drop in ads and/or copy. Great chance to build or enhance your portfolio with covers, promo materials and ads from all sorts of clients!

Here's what you'll be earning: $10/hour. You can receive internship credit for this position, also.

Here's when you'll be working: Available for 8 hours/week during the school year AND 8-12 hours/week during summer (mid-May through the end of July). Must have availability during our office hours, Monday-Friday 8AM to 5PM. This is not an off-site or remote job. 

Here's what we're looking for: We're looking for someone who can handle design, layout and typography. Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Create Suite is required. We work primarily with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Must be dependable! We have weekly production deadlines during the school year.
