Maintenance Engineer

Oakwood Worldwide, the leading provider of temporary furnished and serviced apartments across the country, is currently hiring for a Maintenance Engineer to work out of our Marina Del Rey, California location. 

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain economic usage of equipment
• Complete resident work orders
• Bring units to market ready quality
• Complete necessary maintenance on move-in apartments
• Complete work orders on all common areas and models
• Assign housekeeper/painter to vacant units
• Complete bi-monthly light inspections
• Maintain property appearance
• Perform and/or assist air conditioning/heating technician on work orders
• Respond and be on call for emergency calls after hours
• Ensure completion of monthly property checklist
• Organize and order maintenance supplies
• Maintain all kitchen and laundry supplies
• Weld handrails, trash enclosures, and steps
• Perform minor carpentry work orders
• Ensure safe working environment

The Ideal candidate would have:

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read and write in English
• Bilingual a plus
• The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
