Description
The Consumer Accounting Senior Professional is an integral part of the Consumer Reconciliations Management team responsible for reconciling the consumer deposit and lending general ledgers and demand deposit accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The incumbent will support the management of the monthly reconciliation reporting process, ensure the timely clearing of outstanding items and assist junior level reconcilers.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Preparing, reviewing and distributing monthly exposure reports to Reconciliations Control and management
- Coordinating information and responding to questions for internal and external audits
- Collaborating with Consumer Accounting and Accounting Policy on any changes to the current accounting policy and implementing changes to any impacted reconciliation
- Analyzing and reviewing outstanding general ledger balances and outstanding suspense items
- Interacting with other groups in order to perform substantiation on the reconciliations
- Assisting with other initiatives within the Consumer Reconciliations group as needed
- Developing, maintaining and distributing ad-hoc reports as needed
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Self starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing work priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet concurrent deadlines
- Strong quantitative, analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills are required
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of Reconciliation/Banking experience
- Proficiency in Checkfree Frontier reconciliation software
- Working knowledge of banking applications such as Fiserv Frontier, Content Manager on Demand, Oracle eBusiness Suite and Hyperion Essbase
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or relative work experience (5-7 years)

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
