Sodexo is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Environmental Services (Operations Manager 2) for Lahey Hospital & Medical Center. Lahey is a 317 licensed bed facility. The position reports directly to the General Manager and other management as needed. We are looking for an individual with healthcare management experience in the support service arena with a passion for working in environmental services.
This Assistant Director will lead, develop and train a team of 32 employees. Some responsibilities may include (but not limited to) on-going training, quality inspections, compliance, safety, and the implementation of Sodexo policies and procedures. Overall, will need to motivate hourly staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level with an emphasis on client satisfaction at all times. Client engagement and patient satisfaction is essential for the success of this role.
The ideal candidate will have prior Assistant Director/operational responsibility for an Environmental Services/Custodial department with direct Manager reports and front-line staff in a healthcare/hospital environment. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and technical skills are necessary. JCAHO experience is preferred. Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities at once in a fast paced environment. Seeking individuals that want to make a difference in patient satisfaction, employee engagement and training. The ability to speak Spanish would be helpful managing this position, but is not required.
This is a Regional Operations Support (ROS) position that will provide support. The position timeline is up to 1 year, however it could lead to a permanent position at any time. Position will require flexibility and strong technical knowledge.
Number two position at the account with responsibility for all operations. Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED Basic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services
