About this job

I have a client in the pharmaceuticals industry who is looking to hire a Production Planner to work in a highly motivated group within their leading production facility.

  • The Planner is responsible for the development and execution of operations initiatives in support of the strategic business goal by managing efficiently and effectively all the related activities that impact directly to the customers orders and will have the following duties:
  • Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of development and commercial products: Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
  • Plans and schedules work flow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations thru the creation of Master and Production Batch Records.
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Prepares production reports.
  • May prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment.
  • May prepare purchase orders or purchase requisitions to obtain materials per the Material Requirement Planning.
  • Coordinate and administrate demand requirements and planning by reviewing periodically the material requirements, making adjustments when needed and monitoring the complete logistics cycle.
  • Support and refine operating policies and business procedures to ensure safe and.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Associate degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
  • Undergraduate degree is mandatory. MBA is an asset
  • Minimum 5-7 years in a logistics and customer service in medical device or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience working with ERP programs
  • Strong history of working in a fast paced environment while abiding by processes and protocols
