A new opportunity is now available for an aspiring nurse leader in a 300 bed non profit Southern Californai Medical Center seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager Emergency.

The Medical Center has been a focal point in the area, serving the community for over 100 years. The Hospital offers a broad range of medical, surgical and emergency care, with strengths in orthopedics, neonatology and cardiovascular services. The Medical Center is one of the largest employers in the region with over 1,200 employees and more than 400 affiliated physicians.

The Assistant Nurse Manager will report to the Nurse Manager Emergency Department, and will lead a team of supervisors, charge nurses and RN’s. This 55-bed Emergency Department sees over 80,000 patients annually, and is staffed by over 100 FTE’s.

The Trauma Nurse Manager will ensure that the Emergency Department staff is operating at the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction. The ED Supervisor will collaborate with the nurse educator to provide ongoing education and evaluation for all of the department’s staff.

The Nurse Assistant Manager ER will work hand in hand with the Nurse Educator to provide ongoing education and routinely conduct staff evaluations. The Assistant Nurse Manager Emergency will assist with the 24 hour supervision of the Department, and will collaborate with the Nurse Manager in doing so.

The Trauma center is one of the busiest Medical Centers in all of Los Angeles County, and is growing at a rapid rate. In addition to 80,000 Emergency Visits, the Medical Center performs 5,000 outpatient and 7,000 inpatient Surgical Procedures, and 2,900 deliveries a year.
