Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Chemist for a 1+ month contract opportunity in Columbus, OH with our partner, a private nonprofit applied science and technology development company. 

The Science and Technology Contractor’s responsibilities include the following:

  • Performance of literature review and summary of reviewed information related to the new technology, with subsequent preparation of protocols for technology use
  • Participation in experimental execution of the technology in lab, with subsequent data reduction, data review, and data compilation adhering to accepted practices
  • Logging of daily activities during literature review and laboratory efforts
  • Working independently in a laboratory environment, displaying an interest in successfully achieving the goals of the technology research and implementation
  • Maintaining good work attendance record and be punctual for all project work 

Job Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in chemistry with five to ten years of experience in a lab-based facility
  • Proven ability to conduct experiments according to provided procedures
  • Ability and willingness to work in biological laboratories and adhere to established safety guidelines
  • Sufficiently medically fit to work in the laboratory to perform assigned duties
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office, as well as general online research capabilities (use of search terms, etc)
