Honeywell is excited to announce they are hiring for an Operator Utility to work at our facility located in Spokane, WA 99216. Position Overview:

Performs a variety of job duties associated with the Targets and AMP Operations groups. Operates production support equipment and process lines, including the ultrasonic inspection of assemblies and bulk material; electron beam welder; open air casting; punch press; and chemically process metal parts by monitoring equipment and parts, recording data and transporting parts through the appropriate processes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Ensures all procedures are followed to ensure the safety of people and protection of equipment. Operate computer-controlled equipment and adhere to specific procedures and make informed decisions with acknowledgment from leads and/or engineering support to meet production goals. Maintain the cooperative set-up and execution of controlled processes.

* Ultrasonic inspection of assemblies and bulk material. Responsible for ensuring that the metallurgical, analytical, and dimensional requirements of all products are met.

* Chemically process metal parts by monitoring equipment and parts, recording data and transporting parts through the appropriate processes.

* Supports chemical analysis and maintenance of chemical processing baths to ensure that all chemistry is within operating parameters.

* Operates electron beam welder equipment; open air casting; punch press; performs routine maintenance; troubleshoots system failures and works with equipment vendor and maintenance to resolve issues.

* Reads and follow work instructions, must be able to assimilate variable and written direction/instruction. Read engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine set-up, production methods, and sequence operations (work instructions).

* May take various measurements of the product and inspect product throughout the process.

* Troubleshoot problems and take required steps to correct or contact maintenance for correction.

* Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment.

* Performs accurate and necessary record keeping; perform transactions in inventory tracking systems.

* Monitors work-in-process to make sure that all product demands fit into production schedule without compromising timely delivery.

* Maintains documents and records of pertinent information which may include visual metrics, preventative maintenance schedules, etc.

* Collects and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) data.

* Participates in corrective action teams as needed.

* Participates and support the department/company housekeeping activities.

* Uses applicable Six Sigma tools for data collection and continuous improvement.

* Performs daily job functions in accordance with policies from: EH&S, Quality, and housekeeping.

* Supports and participate in all Structured Safety Process activities for this job classification, as outlined in the site SSP Manual.

* Supports the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) by:

o Seeking opportunities for improvement and taking corrective action on his/her own initiative.

o Actively participating in the continuous improvement process, owning their idea through the PDCA cycle, including asking co-workers for their input.

o Immediately resolving a quality issue or seeking technical expertise to resolve the issue, if necessary.

o Perform 5S and housekeeping duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

* High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

* One year manufacturing experience.

Additional Qualifications:

* Working knowledge of mathematics (decimals, fractions, and geometry).

* Experience with Quality Assurance.

* Experience in a metal working and/or chemical process setting.

* Machine operator experience.

* Ability to read and understand and follow instructions.

* Attention to detail, manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude are required as well as ability to multi-task.

* Skilled with computers and ability to retrieve information and navigate through systems.

* Knowledge of Excel program preferred. (basic understanding , ex: sum things up and get the totals).

* Ability to be a self starter capable of working independently with limited supervision.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
