Our Exciting Work Environment

Open seasonally from April to October. The Lodgepole Market and Gift Shop offers visitors a full grocery store in addition to a choice selection of outdoor equipment, grab-and-go trail snacks, deli sandwiches, national park souvenirs, and more.

 

Responsibilities

Receives cash bank at beginning of work shift and verifies accuracy by counting money in cash drawer. Ensures an accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements during work shift.

Be prepared to work all areas of Retail and Food & Beverage departments, assist with all cleaning duties including mopping and dishes. 

Obtains and reviews information regarding price changes

Make eye contact with and greet guest as they enter and exit the area

Stock merchandise and rotate all in-coming merchandise. First In, First Out (FIFO)

Make sure all items are stored 6 inches off the floor

Have complete knowledge of merchandise and its location, to assist guest in there purchases

Maintain all refrigerator checks first thing in the morning, during the day and at the close of the day

Check all in coming product according to the invoices to ensure what is received complies with the billing.

Ensure that all work areas are neat, clean and organized including display floor, public seating and condiment supplies with strong attention to sanitation and safety

Inform supervisors of low, out of stock or outdated items.

Responsible for helping with waste control and maintaining weekly and monthly condemned sheets

Count cash drawer down at the end of your shift, and make final cash drop

Follow all DNCPR Sequoia, Environmental GreenPath Program, GuestPath service program, NPS, OSHA & Safety policies and procedures

Performs any other duties that may be required or directed be Management

 

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent

Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to complete cash transactions accurately

Should know basic functions of cash registers, bar code scanning  experience preferred

Must have ability to remain standing for periods of up to four hours in length, be able to bend and stoop on occasion, and be able to escort guest to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate

HIRING WILL BEGIN IN MARCH AND CONTINUE THRU THE SEASON. WITH ALL SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT ENDING IN OCTOBER
