About this job

Plan, administer and direct, coordinate and monitor all operations of the Front End department within the store when the Front End Manager is not present.  Responsible to all policies and procedures and make sure other team members within the department are following the correct guidelines.  Responsible to report repeated or major violations to the Front End Manager and Store Manager.  Take any disciplinary action as instructed by the Front End Manager and Store Managers

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Provides exceptional customer service
  • Responsible for following all policies and procedures
  • Report repeated or major violations to the Front End Manager and Store Manager
  • Take disciplinary action as instructed by the Front End Manager, and Store Manager
  • Dealings with customers, responding promptly to customer inquiries, and resolving customer complaints

 

            EDUCATION/AGE:

Must be at least 18 years of age.  Must possess a high school diploma or equivelancy..

 

            EXPERIENCE:

Must have complete knowledge of the cashier, customer service manager, and bookkeeping procedures.  Must have previous cash handling experience, and customer resolutions experience.

 

            SKILLS:

Must possesss problem solving skills.  Must have a good level of stress tolerance.  Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.  Must have intermediate math skills.  Must exhibit leadership skills.  Must be highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  Must have demonstrated superb people skills in previous positions.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Completion of paperwork on a daily and weekly basis.  Scheduling of employees for the work week, as well as the scheduling of breaks to meet the demands of the business. 

Must be available to provide support to the store by answering any questions your subordinates may have. 

 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Body Positions: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Body Movements: Walking, turning head and torso, bending arms, wrists and fingers, squatting, kneeling, reaching over head. Must be capable of heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

Body Senses: Must have full use of eyes and ears, full power of speech.

 

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:    

Mathematical: Must be able to do routine arithmetic calculations. Must be able to mathematically figure out refund differences and have the ability to solve required money equations and transactions. Must have the ability to accurately deal with the counting of all money transactions.

Language: Must be able to understand and communicate in English both verbally and in writing well enough to complete all necessary forms and read all necessary information pertaining to the position.

Mechanical: Must be able work the register, office computer and have complete appreciation of the workings and all of the equipment used in the store.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work will be done primarily in a climate controlled store and warehouse environment. Because of the nature of the products sold, the store itself is kept colder then normal. Must be willing to travel.
