Purpose and Scope: To assist the Design team by participating in all phases of the design calendar from initial concept to production for the Lauren Day line/ colors.Key Responsibilities:Work with the team on the initial seasonal

design: pull fabrics, develop concept rigs, trend analysis', assemble

presentation boards, prepare mock-ups, color waysResponsible for building, maintaining and

updating design working tools and boards for each group/concept and maintaining

them as they evolvePrepare proto packages and coordinate sketch

hand-off meetingsObtain color standards from CMS, prepare

stripe/patterns/layouts etc.Select, develop and track all trim components

and logo development through approvalAssist Design Development to gather material

for development packagesAttend meetings, take detailed notes and

participate in order to follow-up with cross-functional teamsAttend all fittings and update information as

neededWork with cross-functional team to prepare for

market openingsReview all incoming emails and follow up when

appropriateHelp team prepare design room used for rig

presentations/keep organizedCompile and maintain

all records for division reference of Divisional Dress Collection.

Qualifications:BA or BS in Fashion Design; preferably received from a design oriented

university1-2 years of design experienceFundamental understanding of garment construction and product knowledgeFit experience from proto to productionOrganized, highly motivated, pro-active, multi-tasking/time management

skills and a team playerStrong communication skills and ability to work well with multiple

divisionsProficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook,

Photoshop/lllustrator, Web PDM
