Lab Manager - Houston, TX $5k Sign on Bonus - Full-time / Part-time

Oversees the operations and administration of several departments within a LEVEL I laboratory environment.Lab Manager -- Houston, TX LabCorp is seeking a Lab Manager to oversee the Laboratory in Houston, TX! The employees consist of technologist, technicians, lab assistant, and accessioners. This first shift position will have the hours of 8:00am -- 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills in the areas of developing, training, and motivating staff, as well as driving compliance with standard operating procedures and quality control measures.The functions of the M anager position will include, but will not be limited to the following: $5k Sign On Bonus!Oversight of approximately 5 direct reports which will include Lab Supervisors and Lab Team Leads, including training, scheduling, performance evaluation and management.Approves and enters payroll and Vacation Time off requests in a timely manner for staff.Responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training new hires.Oversight of the operations of the laboratory according to established policies and procedures. Observe and oversee the Quality Analysis and Quality Control for the department.Responsible for all laboratory testing and up to speed on CLIA guidelinesCompletes quarterly evaluations and reviews them with direct reports in a timely manner.
