Echo Technologist - PRN

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures as outlined in policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Laboratory, including but not limited to Duplex imaging and/or echocardiography. May be cross-trained into other areas in the department. Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within. Work is primarily independent.

Education:

Graduate of state accredited school of radiology technology with current or pending registration in the State of Virginia or graduate of state approved school of professional nursing with RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or Compact Licensure Agreement preferred

Experience:

Previous experience in cardiovascular diagnostic ultrasound testing preferred.

Without RN or RT license, 5 years training and experience on the job with a registry/certification in the related field

Licenses/Certificates:

An appropriate credential in vascular ultrasound or echocardiography (ARRT, ARDMS or CCI). Additional certifications needed to be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Current BLS or obtained first week of employment.
