Responsibilities: The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant works collaboratively with physicians, social services, pharmacy, chaplains and the primary service to provide comprehensive care for hospitalized patients and families dealing with incurable diseases. The physical, psychological, social, and spiritual issues are addressed with focus on control of symptoms, management of complications, and quality of life issues. Position may include coverage of outpatient consults focusing on symptom management.
Qualifications: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as a FNP or ANP.
Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges
Additional Qualifications: Minimum of one year experience as an advanced practice provider in a clinical setting is preferred.
Candidates for this position are asked to attach two letters of reference to their online application to be considered for this position.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,708.80, based on a full-time position.

Weekend Schedule: Will be expected to cover 4-8 weekends per year.
