Position Overview

Thisposition is open to qualified candidates based in the Kansas City area.

The Technical Application Specialist (Coagulation/Hemostasis) will solveproblems independently and within established policies and procedures. Their primaryobjective is "to do what it takes" to ensure customer satisfaction in theclinical laboratories. Responsible forimplementing and installing Siemens equipment in the clinical labs of ourcustomers, growing the business through method additions, performing andmentoring customer training, acting in a consultative matter with regards tolab efficiency, and assisting sales when they lead Sales demonstrations

Responsibilities

Systemimplementations, training and assay additions. They are responsible formanaging their customer base and growing the business.

Orchestrate implementation plans with customers for new instruments and assays.Facilitate training rotations and schedules within the lab to insure crosstraining for all operators on all shifts. Develop timeline for acquiringsamples, implementing assays and start up strategies within defined guidelines.Present an Add Assay business strategy to the customer. Assist in facilitatingthe proper customer support for technical issues.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, andExperience

BS/BA in related discipline, or advanceddegree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certification may be required in some areas.

Must have a cleandriving record over last three years.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, andExperience

Requirements include:

BA/BS preferably in Medical Technology;thorough technical knowledge of medical technology; 2 years of laboratoryexperience; prior field experience is preferred; strong communication andinterpersonal skills to effectively handle customer problems and support thesales team's efforts; ability to prioritize critical customers and handle thecrisis customers first; computer literacy is mandatory (Word, Excel,Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.); strong presentation and selling skills; must becompletely aligned with the corporate Vision, Values and Beliefs; job requiresa large amount of driving within the region.
