Primary responsibility
Help HSP exceed sales & profit objectives by leading, managing and directing all of the customer marketing related activities and product gap needs for their particular business and/or product line.
The successful candidate will work closely with product marketing, manufacturing, sourcing, engineering & R&D, internal senior executives, field sales organization, key business partners and the senior management team to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the business today and in the future.
They own the link between strategic/product marketing, product management and the sales force/customer. Their job is to make the sales force more productive and to enhance our selling proposition to the customer, with a major focus on the end user.
Sales Channels
* Primary channel responsibility will be sporting goods to define bets practices for channel manager role
* Secondary channels will be hardware, paint, HBC, and commercial
* Responsible for US & CA
Specific Responsibilities
Drive Sales: Working with each channel's NSM, develop, & execute the optimum category / product / promotion assortment to deliver against the agreed targets
Be the channel/customer Expert: Know your customers (retailers and end users) thru VOC and other research. Manage competitive landscapes. Keep current with market trends.
Account presentation preparation: Working with sales, prepare competitive landscapes, crossovers, assortment recommendations, and market data. Obtain costs to prepare customer pricing and suggested retail prices. Create P&L for analysis. Prepare presentation materials, coordinate products and assist in presentation as needed.
New Business needs: Communicate needs and time lines for new product setup and on-boarding with retailers. Lead internal cross-functional teams to be sure our customer commitments are met
Forecasting: Coordinate with Sales, ISC and SIOP to manage supply and demand.
Ongoing Channel Account Profitability Analysis: Create and analyze SKU performance and overall P&L for existing accounts. Work with Sales to review and refresh assortments on a regular basis to improve profitability. Conducts analytics to support pricing; Supports development and/or implementation of pricing policies.
Private Label: Define, develop and present private label programs for key accounts
Channel/Account marketing: Work with Brand manager on catalogs, sell sheets, flyers, videos, web site creation and maintenance, social media, ads, photo shoots, image library, mailings/communications to reps, etc. Develop go to market materials that are specific and relevant to their channels.
Merchandising: Work with packaging engineer or external resources to develop signage, displays and other in-store support.
Trade Show: Execute registration, booth planning, product highlights, marketing materials, expense management. Attend shows as needed. Excellent planning, execution and project-management skills.

They will be strong, integrative thinkers and be able to lead cross-functional teams to drive the organization to outstanding outcomes.
Basic Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree.
* 3 years of customer marketing experience.
* 3 years of experience with business to business customer interaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Preference in retail or shooting sports business
* Experience executing strategies through global sales forces is desired.
* Must possess proven marketing strategic, analytical and implementation skills.
* MBA is preferred.
* Marketing and sales experience in a manufactured product environment.
* High level of proficiency developing presentations, especially with PowerPoint.
