About this Opportunity:
All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. The NP may operate as an in-patient postpartum discharge rounding clinician at times with primary responsibilities carried as an out-patient women's center clinician. This position provides individualized care, focusing on women's health and preventive health care. He/she oversees and supervises all outpatient clinical functions including planning, organizing, delegating and controlling the activities of the clinic under the supervision of the obstetricians with reporting nursing duties to nurse director of Women's Services and administrative duties to director of Clinic Operations.
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years' experience as NP. Experience in women's health by working with the women and children in inpatient setting preferred. The work experience shall demonstrate maturity and leadership abilities. Minimum Bachelors Degree in Nursing required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Masters of Nursing preferred. Current BCLS certification. Demonstrates proficient computer skills and excellent communication skills. Clinically competent in patient care delivery and skilled in use of medical supplies and equipment. Able to utilize telephone, fax and copier machines. May answer pages, carry a beeper/pager, and/or use a two-way radio. Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or Armenian preferred, Nurse Practitioner licensure; a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current licensure by Board of Registered Nursing, State of California.
