This is a temporary internship position not to exceed 6 months. Undergraduate level internship work may include less involved research projects and documentation; phone communication, meeting minute transcriptions; Power Point production; social media maintenance; document and template updates; marketing material production; website updates.

Essential Functions:

The Care Management summer intern, 2017 will have 2 primary projects.

* Build the infrastructure within existing Sharepoint "shells" for each Care Management team (3-4) including

* Importing and organizing appropriate documents from Sharedrives

* Creating team specific "home page" which may include PTO calendar, announcements, photos, etc

* Working with team leads, supervisors and managers to meet their Sharepoint needs

* Work with DIME/Analytics to build and automate dashboards for each team (3-4). Dashboard items may include

* Average length of stay

* Estimated date of discharge accuracy

* Number of discharges anticipated today

* Number of discharges anticipated tomorrow

* Patient stays 0-2 days, 3-6 days, 7-21 days and 21 days (or other parameters to be determined)

* Members enrolled in Complex Case Management

The intern will need to be proactive in identifying needs and improvements. He or she should be comfortable making suggestions to Care Management leaders. The intern must be self-driven, capable of following thru on a project autonomously. The work will require close partnership with other departments, primarily analytics and reporting. There will be opportunities for the intern to join Care Management leadership in various planning and strategy meetings, depending on timing. This would be an ideal work assignment for a junior/senior college student in healthcare informatics, or data management/analytics or web design/development.
