New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn, MAis a 210 bed acute physical rehabilitation hospital located just northof Boston, MA. All patients admitted to New England Rehabilitation Hospital arein the acute phase of recovery from a major medical event.

Just days out of surgery or the ICU we are treating amputations,arthritis,hip fracture,joint replacement, wounds, burns,spinal cord injury,multiple trauma,as well as neurological conditions,such as stroke, brain injury, Guillian Barre, Parkinson's disease, multiplesclerosis, or critical illness myopathy, orthopedics,and cardiac conditions.

With a 1-3 week average stay- we see our patients improve andreturn home to their lives and families! Come be a part of something lifechanging!

The Nurse Manager is responsible for a 35-bedunit within the hospital and the followingcritical functions:

* Assisting in the development of patient care programs,policies, and procedures that describe how patients' needs for nursing care,treatment, and services are assessed, evaluated, and met.

* Implementing the plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and servicesincluding the types and numbers of nursing personnel necessary to providenursing care.

* Implementing an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess, and improvenursing care, treatment, and services delivered to patients.

* Promoting an environment and culture that enables Healthsouth to fulfill itsmission by meeting or exceeding its goals, conveying the hospital mission toall staff, holding staff accountable for performance, and motivating staff toimprove performance.

* Supervising and coordinating approximately 50nursing staff and delivery of nursing care on a 24-hour basis.

* Coordinating administration and clinical activities, bothinter and intra-departmentally, so that optimum patient care is provided,staffing is maintained and costs contained.

* Serving as CNO in his/her absence

Qualifications

License or Certification:

* Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations

* CPR certification

* CRRN certification preferred and supported

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Masters in Nursing preferred

* Five years experience in inpatient hospital setting.

* Five plus years Nursing Management experience with responsibilities includingsuch as 24 hour accountability, FTE management, policy, procedure, andbudgetary oversight, and conducting disciplinary action.
