MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: One year in an acute care facility
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years in acute care. Previous clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry or ICU
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS required for all units--Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center within 10 working days before assuming patient care.
ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer into unit.
TNCC required wintin 18 months of hire or transfer into unit.
ICU/CCU
