Position Summary: This Nursing Education Specialist will be responsible for oversight, maintenance, facilitation and continuous improvement of the Foundations of Critical Care Nursing (FCCN) program, the specialty orientation program for RNs new to the critical care environment as well as the initial ECG education program.

Responsibilities: The nursing education specialist (NES) works collaboratively to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities through a systems model for Department of Nursing staff including orientation, professional development, and competency programs. Roles of the NES include: educator, facilitator, change agent, collaborator, advisor, mentor, consultant, researcher, and leader.

Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a Master's Degree in Education.

Minimum of three years of nursing practice experience.

Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.

Additional Qualifications: Education focus in Master's in Nursing program.

Experience in educational programming.

Demonstrated teaching skills.

License or Certification: Current Minnesota RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.

Exemption Status: Exempt

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,732.80, based on a full-time position.

Hours/Pay Period: 80

Schedule Details: Monday - Friday days, evenings and weekends variable depending on customer needs
