About this position:
In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the Clinical Nurse II (CNII) in L&D is an experienced practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing, the implementation of patient care in those settings, and the ability to practice independently. The CNII in L&D serves as a resource person, preceptor, and relief charge nurse. Under minimal supervision, the CNII proficiently implements the nursing process for clients with complex diagnoses.
Minimum Requirements:
* Current CA RN license, BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications
* Six (6) months current medical/surgical nursing, maternal-child nursing or specialty area experience is required.
* Certification in fetal monitoring is required within one (1) year of employment and evidence of lactation support education required within one (1) year of employment.
* Spanish speaking experience and specialty certification in obstetric nursing is preferred.
This position is represented by SEIU, Local 121RN, and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
