Responsibilities:

Repair, maintain, install and inspect electrical systems. May provide work instruction and assistance to junior team members on assigned tasks.

* Assists in the planning, layout and installation of wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.

* Assists in installing data and control wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.

* Assists in installing and maintaining power and control wiring to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.

* Operates machinery and equipment such as robot controller and programmable controller to program automated machinery to test for malfunctions and to verify repairs. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty printed circuit boards and other electronic components.

* Assists in the diagnoses and replacement of faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment and replaces electric motor bearings. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.

* Stays informed of applicable OSHA and company guidelines and operating procedures, and proactively identifies unsafe working or building conditions and takes corrective action or immediately informs management when higher skilled technical services are required. Promptly responds to maintenance and other custodial emergencies.

* Performs lead duties; provides work guidance to junior team members; assigns tasks, checks works, follows up on work assignments.

* Promotes safety and quality in primary discipline and assists in the monitoring and quality control of projects being performed by outside contractors.

* Duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment and may require providing support to multiple facilities as needed

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED equivalency required.

* Technical training up to 18 months in related course work at a trade/technical school.

* In-depth knowledge of National Electricity and City Codes is required.

* Special skills certification required.

* Must be able to read and work from blueprints.Five-plus years prior electrical maintenance experience required.

* State licensure as a Maintenance Electrician is preferred, but not required.
