3M is seeking a Senior Manager for the Alliance & Acquisitions for Automotive Electrification Priority Growth Platform (PGP-AutoEle) located in either Maplewood, MN or Livonia, MI. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

Automotive Electrification is one of 3M's strategic initiatives sponsored by two business groups, EEBG and IBG. AutoEle team focuses on both organic and in-organic growth to maximize 3M value in this growing market segment. The team focuses on automotive customers' large problems and align 3M resources to solve those through existing 3M solutions and NPIs collaborating with six divisions and laboratories. If customers' important problems are outside of 3M core capabilities, we will extend our capabilities by A&As and create strong synergies between 3M core and these A&As to play big in AutoEle market. The Senior Manager of A&A and Strategy is responsible to lead and execute this inorganic growth activity.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Leads alliance and acquisitions activities for PGP-AutoEle

* Leads strategic initiatives sponsored by the DMSD Vice President

* Lead PGP-AutoEle strategic planning process and creation of overall 5-year strategic plan

* Support DMSD strategic planning process and creation of overall 5-year strategic plan

* Tracks industry and competitive trends and develops business outlook and perspectives on strategic shifts required in portfolio

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution

* Minimum of three (3) years of automotive related industry experience

* Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in strategy, marketing, finance, and/or business development

* Experiences in leading Alliance and Acquisition activities

Preferred Qualifications:

* Germany or Japanese speaker as a second language

* MBA

* Three (3) years at a leading strategy consulting firm, investment bank or private equity firm

* Proven track record in providing novel and innovative solutions to complex or difficult strategic issues

* Action oriented, with emphasis on execution and results rather than theory

* Must be a strong communicator with experience working with and leading cross-functional teams

* Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

* Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

* Significant experience with MS PowerPoint and Excel

* Germany or Japanese speaker preferred as a second language

Location: Maplewood, MN or Livonia, MI

Sales Territory: Global

Travel: Normally up to 25%, may increase to 50% for a few month at peak time

Relocation: Is authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
