Dog Walker/Pet Sitter

Zen Dog is currently hiring exceptional pet sitters and dog walkers to join our wonderful team. An established and well-loved company in Peachtree Corners and beyond, Zen Dog is looking for animal lovers who are passionate about helping people, who possess great attention to detail and good communications skills, and who are organized, punctual, dependable, and professional.

Pet Sitters Responsibilities:

• Work weekdays, weekends and holidays, as stays vary based on client needs 
• Willingness to do overnights a plus
• Enter the homes of clients and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 30- 60 minutes each)
• Walk pets as required 
• Feed pets 
• Spend quality time with pets (petting, brushing, playing with, giving lots of love and attention!)
• Check that pets have ample water supply and refill as necessary
• Make sure no damage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Confirm if any potty accidents have occurred in the homes of our clients, and clean up.
• Communicate with clients and with management during visits.
• Appropriate pet clean-up as required (i.e. kitty litter scooping when sitting for a cat)   

Pet Sitters Requirements and Qualifications:

• MUST BE LOCATED WITHIN ONE OF THE CITIES LISTED UNDER "JOB LOCATION" - we are only looking for candidates that reside within those cities
• Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
• Must have a smart phone and be willing to use a pet sitting app
• Must have a computer
• Must be extremely detail oriented
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• Able to maintain a flexible schedule
• Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Must be timely and punctual 
• Must be able to self-manage 
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be compassionate about animals
• Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals
• Must be able to pass criminal background check

Pets in our care include cats, dogs, and other small pets; dogs can range from 4 to over 100 pounds. This is a perfect job for retired professionals, stay-at-home parents, or anyone looking for a career in the growing pet industry.

Being a cat whisperer, dog trainer, pet rescue volunteer, former vet tech, former pet sitter/dog walker, or other animal related experience is preferred. At least some knowledge of domestic animal care is required. Knowing basic dog and cat behavior is also a plus. We are looking for special people willing to commit to be part of a great team of like-minded partners.
