Position summary:

This operation applies signature panels, holograms, and foil stamps as required from the Proof. 

Essential Responsibilities

Dual Head Operator Level I

  1. Reads and interprets the shop floor router and workmanship manual as well as applicable specifications.
  2. Understands the location and function of all emergency stops on the machine.
  3. Obtains the correct materials called out on the Proof.
  4. Uses the information on the Proof to check the position of the material to be stamped.
  5. Performs a First Article Inspection and obtains third party verification.
  6. Utilizes a caliper to check and maintain positioning throughout the run.
  7. Ensures a repeatable workflow sequence to avoid missing stamped positions.
  8. Utilizes templates for foil stamps to ensure accurate placement and image integrity.
  9. Cleans dies throughout the run as necessary for optimal transfer.
  10. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  11. Logs time properly in the ERP system.

Dual Head Operator Level II (Completes all Dual Head Operator Level I responsibilities plus):

  1. Adjusts hologram images to specification.
  2. Spaces signature tape using settings and roll tension.
  3. Able to run premium style brand marks.
  4. Familiar with X and Y wheels and can utilize them for positioning.

Dual Head Operator Level III (Completes all Dual Head Operator Level II responsibilities plus):     

  1. Performs set ups on the hot stamp machines.

  2. Adjusts programming on the machine interface.

  3. Performs advanced troubleshooting when quality or mechanical issues arise.

Ancillary Responsibilities -

(The following apply to all regardless of their level status):

  1. Adhere to all requirements of the CPI Safety Program.

  2. Adhere to all CPI security requirements including counting and documenting the disposition of all cards to and from the operation.

  3. Adhere to all requirements of the CPI Quality Management System.

  4. Adhere to all requirements of the CPI Workmanship Manual.

  5. Must be able to work flexible hours as required.

  6. Willing to be cross-trained on other processes

Requirements -

  1. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   2. The candidate must have basic skills required to operate technical machinery. They must be able to use a caliper and other hand tools. The candidate must be able to interface with a PC by inputting and out putting data and loading and unloading programs. Keyboard input skills are necessary.

  3. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  4. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions (written and verbal) Ability to write simple report Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization

  5. Ability to add, subtract multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

  6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Physical Demands

  2. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand (up to 10-12 hrs/shift) and use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 10-pound sleeves of cards. They will be required to move roll around carts which may weigh up to 100 pounds. Good vision required for this job and this includes close vision and color vision.

  3. In executing some functions of the job, the employee is required to reach above and away from their body and bend, twist, and/or squat. While performing this job, the employee will execute repetitive motions with their arms and hands.
