Heavy Equipment Forklift Operator - Full-time / Part-time

Are you tired of inconsistent hours working in construction?  Do you enjoy the hardhat construction environment but need something more stable?  If so, Express Employment Professionals is working with a Southside Indianapolis block company to hire a Heavy Forklift Operator.   This company manufactures all different types of block, cinder blocks, landscaping blocks, pavers, etc., and has an immediate opening for an experienced operator.  This is 12,000lb forklift and requires previous experience with operating heavy equipment such as dozers or Hydrostatic forklifts. 
This day shift position will require someone that can work lots of overtime in busy season and shift would be Mon - Fri   (OT on some Saturdays.)    Start at $14-$16/hr with $1/hr pay increase upon hire along with strong benefits program consisting of Medical, Vacation, Holiday Pay and up to 4% increase in pay yearly after evaluations. 
This position would be operating a 12,000lb forklift both inside and outside moving product that weights up to 7000lbs. Candidates for this position must be able to multi task and work at a very fast pace with little error.  Reading Yarding layouts, labeling product and moving material to the correct locations.  Could require some heavy lifting up to 50lbs. 
Requirements:
• Must have previous Heavy Equipment Forklift experience.  (Warehouse forklift candidates will not be considered for this job!)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret loading slips, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to carry out instructions written and oral
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and understanding of units of measure
• Forklift Certification helpful but not required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or hard hat/construction environment
