The client is a leading security provider in the DMV area and is in Falls Church. They provide security services to both commercial and government facilities.
40% installing security camera and access control systems
40% configuring the systems to make sure they work on the network
10% driving site to site
10% systems maintenance
This Video Service Technician will be installing camera systems and configuring the NVR system on the back end. Mount and Configure IP Camera's, configure POE switches. Prepare racks and power for installation of customer equipment. Provide remote diagnostic and troubleshooting. The candidate will also be interfacing with various customers - both commercial and government.
Fast paced technical and hands on environment coupled with being customer service focused. Culture is big with the client as they have popcorn machine they use for the whole office every Friday. Day to day, the candidate will be driving to client sites and then into the corporate office weekly for meetings.
Shift: 6:30am-3pm or 4pm with the opportunity for overtime
Qualificaitons:
-2-5 years experience as a security technician specifically with video cameras and cameras
-Experience and knowledge of networking principles: IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN, and cabling
-Experience installing and troubleshooting security systems
-Experience with video cameras, lenses, DVR, NVR, and video management
-Experience installing Ethernet and Fiber Optic networks
*****MUST HAVE DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD! *****
Desired:
CCNA or A+ Certification
Axis, Genetec or Milestone certification
Experience servicing a large university or educational facility in a metropolitan area
1st Day expectations: Candidates must be able to go into a building and be hands on, pulling cable and wiring video cameras and security equipment. Needs to have this experience and knowledge coming in to install and troubleshoot.
